2.0 out of 5 stars. Not for 17 inchReviewed by 15+ year shopper from Colorado on Monday, November 4, 2013Loved the look and carries well but DOES NOT come close to holding a 17 inch laptop, the reason I purchased it. I just use it has a messenger bag.

4.0 out of 5 stars. Love itReviewed by Ashley from Utah on Thursday, September 12, 2013I felt like I should write a review because I read the only other review, and completely disagree with it. I really like this bag. I think Dakine products are always very well make. This bag is easy to use. My laptop is 17 inches, so it's a bit tight to get in, but it does go in fairly easily. I think the strap and the zipper are well made, plus it's cute. I would buy it again.

2.0 out of 5 stars. Dakine Shyla Messenger Bag for WomenReviewed by New,older student from Maine on Wednesday, August 14, 2013The bag was a disappointment. Perhaps I read the description all wrong, but I was expecting a more compact bag made of better quality materials. The bag has a nice stylish look, however when you can hold it in your hands and see the workmanship that look disappears. If it were to be used to carry a laptop, and some other school (Community-college) supplies; I don't think it would be durable enough to hold up for much more than one semester.
