Danner DL2 Boots - Lace-Ups (For Men)

I think, this is the most long-expected parcel from Sierra for the whole time…
I bought 4 pair of these in the end… Yes, I know I`m crazy, but the price was outstanding (comparing to $250 on Amazon).
So, I took 2 in dif. colours for myself (11EE), one for my brother (10EE) and one for my father (9EE). And while I was waiting (I`m from Russia, so it takes time to arrive) I spent some time reading the reviews and getting crazy whether it will fit or not)))
I do buy 11US size almost every time, it is Russian / Euro 44.5. Both pairs of Danner fit absolutely true to size, maybe a little tight in length. But, again – it is really a little bit, I do wear them without discomfort and feel that they will stretch a little.
My brother usually wears 10US (43.5 Russian / Euro), very seldom 10.5US. There was no 10.5, so I bought 10. He said that 10US was too tight, not long enough, he couldn`t wear it at all. He is 17 years old and still grows a little so that was disappointing.
BUT.
The pair for my father was marked 9US size and contained 11US size inside. I don`t know whether it was a Danner`s or STP mistake, but it was a really happy mistake, as for me. US11 was a little big for my brother but with socks OK.
And US10 fitted my father very well, absolutely.
So, basing on this experiment, I would say that they do run 0.5- 1 size smaller. And maybe, the smaller the size – the more this fault feels. If you have sizes to choose from – take 0.5-1 size up and you will be happy.
As for the main impression – the shoes are great. Very light, good looking and comfortable. I really like that they are not as heavy as traditional Danners. Even if they are not as everlasting)) – they still be wearing longer than most of the shoes.
This is the best thing I bought on STP at the moment.
